About the Trainer Rachel Rose Trainer

Rachel Rose grew up in the rural country-side of Iowa. From the time she could talk she had a passion for animals. She showed horses at the local fairs and trained the farm dogs to do tricks. Rachel received her Bachelors in Biology from the University of Massachusetts, and a Certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington. Currently, she studies Clinical Animal Behavior and Welfare at the University of Edinburgh.

Rachel’s strong passion for professional dog training started approximately six years ago when she began training with police and search and rescue K9’s. Since then she has certified with the North American Police Work Dog Association in police canine tracking with her Bloodhound Jep. Rachel enjoys learning about and training all kinds of dogs and is always working to expand her knowledge base. As a trainer she strongly believes that it is her role to give pet owners the knowledge and skills they need to live a long, mutually fulfilling relationship with their pets.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys going to her son’s hockey games, attending dog training seminars, cooking, reading, and gardening. She has two dogs; a bloodhound named Jep and a Jack Russel Terrier named Ginger, two cats, and one hamster.
