Preventative care is key to your dog living a long, happy life with you and your family. Healthy Start Puppy (8 weeks-1 year)

Puppies inherit a natural immunity from their mother that protects them from birth until approximately 6 weeks of age. Once your puppy reaches 6 weeks of age, you pet will depend on you to help them build on their own immune system. The Family Pet Hospital is here to help you care for your pet through his or her’s first year of life with our Healthy Start Puppy Wellness Plan.

Our Healthy Start Wellness Plan includes all necessary examinations, recommeded vaccinations, laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging to evaluate for subclinical and genetic diseases/abnormalities, and other veterinary services needed in the first year. This plan also includes pre-surgical bloodwork,  spaying/neutering your pet, and more.

Preventative Young Adult (1-5 years)

To keep your adult dog healthy and happy during the prime years of their life, the Preventative Young Adult Wellness Plan offered at The Family Pet Hospital helps you by preventatively monitoring for any signs of illness or subclinical disease, adding years and quality to the life of your dog.

Our Preventative Young Adult Wellness Plan includes all necessary examinations, recommended vaccinations, routine bloodwork screenings, recommended diagnostic imaging, and more.

Preventative Middle Age (6-9 years)

As your pet’s body changes with age, so does their medical and nutritional needs. The Preventative Middle Age Wellness Plan offereed at The Family Pet Hospital helps you monitor and manage their healthcare needs by determining baseline organ function and monitoring them to detect problems early and prevent long-term effects against illness and disease. The Preventative Young Adult Wellness Plan helps keep your pet’s health a priority by closely monitoring organ changes through routine labwork, recommended diagnostic testing, and preventative dental health. This plan includes all necessary examinations, recommended vaccines and many other services.

Comprehensive Senior (9-13 years)

With advances in veterinary medicine our family pets are living longer, and we recognize that the earlier in a disease process we can make a diagnosis and start a treatment plan, the better the outcome. The Family Pet Hospital offers our Comprehensive Senior Wellness Plan that is tailored to your dog’s senior health. These can include senior bloodwork and urinalysis, diagnostic imaging, and other recommended tests. This plan includes all necessary examinations, recommeded vaccine, labwork, diagnostic imaging and many other services.

Comprehensive Geriatric (13 years+)

As our dogs age, they face a variety of conditions that can adversely affect their health during these golden years. Some of the conditions that commonly affect senior dogs and that we monitor closely for include diabetes, kidney and liver disease, tumors and cancer, arthritis and other joint pain, obesity and thyroid conditions, as well as dental disorders. The Family Pet Hospital’s Geriatric Wellness Plan will help you monitor your senior dog’s health regularly for these conditions and take appropriate steps to ensure proper care and treatment.
