Socialization

Does your dog have trouble interacting with people or other dogs? Socialization is key to helping dogs play with others. Daycare can help introduce your dog to other dogs, people and situations.

Avoid Unwanted Behaviors

Dogs left home alone during the day may experience separation anxiety or display undesirable behavioral issues such as chewing and excessive barking. These can occur when a dog lacks sufficient exercise and socialization. With daycare, these behaviors can be decreased or avoided altogether!

Flexible Schedule

Some dogs visit every day, others just a couple of times a month. Every dog is unique and we’re happy to discuss the best schedule to suit your dog’s needs, as well as your busy schedule, budget and lifestyle.

Tail-Wagging Fun!

No one wants to face the expression on their dog’s face when heading off to work every morning!  With our hospital’s recent expansion, you no longer have to!  The Family Pet Hospital is excited to offer our new daycare services where you can now replace your dog’s sad face with one of tail-wagging excitement as you drop off your dog for a full day of fun.

Dogs left home alone during the day may experience separation anxiety or display undesirable behavioral issues such as chewing and excessive barking. These can occur when a dog lacks sufficient exercise and socialization. Our daycare center is your answer! Drop your dog off at our daycare center and they’ll spend the day where we focus on a fun atmosphere that encourages play and socialization with other dogs, interacting with our well-trained hospital staff and burning off energy. At the end of the day, you’ll pick-up a happy and delightfully tired pup.

Our daycare center is limited to dogs under 35 lbs and must be at least 4.5 months of age to join. It’s a very small group so get in early and have your dog become one of our pack! With our new hospital expansion we ensure lots of room for your dogs to romp and play!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the evaluation process?

Because we offer an open play environment, similar to an indoor dog park, every dog attending our daycare program must have a temperament evaluation. The evaluation is a scheduled appointment and offers a chance for our team to meet you and your dog, answer any questions you may have, as well as take you on a tour of our new and wonderful facilities.

During the evaluation we will take your dog into a separate area and introduce them to a small group of similarly-sized dogs to observe their interaction. We do our best to replicate the variety of a playgroup, so your dog may meet males and females, excited players and calm observers, as well as older dogs and puppies. Every dog has their own distinct personality! It is important to observe your dog’s behavior without your presence, but we will gladly give you a full report afterward.

We are not only looking for any aggressive tendencies, but fearful ones as well. We want to make sure that our daycare program will be a happy, healthy place for your dog.

The consultation typically takes only 30 minutes and after passing, your dog will be granted membership into our Daycare program.
