About Us

The Family Pet Hospital opened its doors on February 8th, 1998.  Its founder and owner, Dr. Cristina Valas was able to realize her dream of being her own town's small animal veterinarian.  Part of this dream was to be able to practice in a relaxed, family oriented atmosphere in which she would have plenty of time to play with her patients, chat with and educate their owners and provide exceptional medical and surgical services.

In our pursuit of excellence, we voluntarily sought accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association.  In order to maintain this accreditation our practice is evaluated by an expert to ensure that we comply with the high veterinary care standards that you and your pets deserve. 

Our practice has grown tremendously in the last five years serving over 1800 pets and we will continue a steady but controlled growth so as not to compromise each of our patient's care.
